Position Title: Ast Mngr-Student Financial Srv

Department:  Financial Services

Term of Assignment: Continuing

Term End Date, If Applicable:             

FLSA Status:   Exempt = not eligible for overtime

Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional evening and weekend work required.

Salary: Targeted Salary Range: $60,720-$65,275

Travel: No travel

Brief Statement of Duties

Brief Statement of Duties: Assist with the management of the University's accounts receivable, cash, and accounting and financial reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Discipline/Degree Area: 

Required Specialized Training/Certifications: 

Required Minimum Work Experience:  Three years of recent, progressive work experience in accounting and/or financial management involving decision making and both internal and external financial reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: 

Possess an in-depth knowledge in reading and applying federal regulations.
Possess and in-depth understanding of internal controls over all aspects of financial management.
Ability to accurately and efficiently perform required tasks to include any combination of word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, internet, or web-based applications.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work.
Ability to work effectively in a team-environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

Additional Desirable Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management.
Master's Degree in Business or Public Administration.
Two years of fund accounting work experience in higher education.
One year of accounts receivable or collections work experience.
