The College of Arts and Sciences has more than 5,000 students with majors and minors in 15 academic departments and three centers.
College of Business
The NMU College of Business prepares graduates for successful and responsible engagement in business and society. The College of Business received accreditation by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – in 2002. Only 799 schools of business, or less than 5% worldwide, have earned this distinguished hallmark of excellence in management education.

College of Health Sciences and Professional Studies
Comprised of four schools, five departments and two centers, the college prepares highly qualified graduates in many areas.

The programs offered by the Technology and Occupational Sciences Department are designed to provide students with the knowledge and experience needed to hold management or technician-level positions in a variety of business or technical fields.

Counseling and Consultation Services
Counseling and Consultation Services is housed alongside the University Health Center as part of our new Wellbeing facility. These professional psychologists and counselors provide focused individual counseling, group counseling, and psycho-educational presentations. They assist students in overcoming both long-standing and immediate problems and strive to help students develop new skills and perspectives to enrich their lives.
