Position Title: Behavior Analyst

Department:  Psychological Science

Term of Assignment: Continuing

Term End Date, If Applicable:             

FLSA Status:   Exempt = not eligible for overtime

Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, with hours ranging between 8:30 am and 7:00 pm depending on client availability. Some evening and weekend work required.

Salary: Targeted Salary Range: $66,000-$74,000

Travel: 10-25%

Brief Statement of Duties

Brief Statement of Duties: Provide comprehensive behavior analytic services for clients of the BEAR Center programs including case oversight and management, supervision of behavior analytic staff, and coordination of clinical operations. Assist in the implementation of research protocols and procedures as related to the delivery of ABA services. On- and off-campus services will be provided that are billed to insurance, Medicaid, and agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Master's Degree

Discipline/Degree Area:  Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or closely related field

Required Specialized Training/Certifications:  Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB).

Required Minimum Work Experience:  One year of experience working with children and families with autism and related disabilities, supervising BACB certificants or behavior technicians, and performing language acquisition assessments, functional behavior assessments, developing behavior support plans. Experience prior to receiving BCBA will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: 

Capable of carrying out behavior analytic consultation and clinical services including language and skill acquisition assessment and programming, functional behavior assessment and behavior support planning, and supervision of BACB experiences.
Capable of providing on-going supervision of those seeking and those currently holding BACB credentials in accordance with BACB experience standards.
Eligible to bill for ABA services in the state of Michigan (insurance, Medicaid, department of education, etc.).
Capable of working hands on with children and individuals with disabilities. Capable of performing physical crisis intervention and physically intervening in situations where the health of clients and others are at risk.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

Additional Desirable Qualifications: 

Specializations in ABA services. Examples include training in advanced language assessments and programming, experience with high intensity SIB or aggression, programming for food refusal, etc.
Experience working with insurance, Medicaid, and school programs.
Experience in research and publications in the area of ABA.
