Brief Statement of Duties:
Teaching within the MSW and BSW programs based on program needs and applicant strengths. Term faculty must submit evaluations
documenting their accomplishments in the areas of assigned responsibility, which include teaching and departmental service. This is a global campus position. The majority of students will be taught online. However, there will also be on campus
teaching and professional responsibilities. Therefore this is a campus based position. This position is not currenlty elgible for sponsorship.
Required Education: Master's Degree
Discipline/Degree Area: Social Work
Required Specialized Training/Certifications: Earned MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program.
Required Minimum Work Experience: Earned MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program with five years post-MSW work experience. Or a PhD in social work or related field with two years post-MSW work experience and prior experience with college level teaching or professional training required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:
Clinical and/or advanced generalist practice knowledge, skills, and attitudes, as well as an understanding of:
The generalist social work intervention model
Theories of human behavior in the social environment
CSWE core competencies, and
NASW Code of Ethics
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
5 or more years of clinical practice experience.
Familiarity with online teaching modalities and online teaching technology and software. Additional desirable qualifications include knowledge of trauma-informed social work, rural social work practice, an awareness of anti-racist practices and decolonized teaching practices, or other specialty social work practice areas.
