Position Title: Assistant Vice President, Holistic Wellbeing
Department: Wellbeing
Term of Assignment: Continuing
Term End Date, If Applicable:
FLSA Status: Exempt = not eligible for overtime
Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional evening and weekend work required.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Travel: Less than 10%
Brief Statement of Duties: Provide strategic leadership to develop and implement a campus-wide focus on holistic wellbeing that aligns with the University's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan. Create and support collaborative programs, policies, and experiences that address defined wellbeing dimensions for students, faculty and staff to help foster a culture where all individuals can thrive. Oversee the case management services and wellbeing promotions functions to enhance student engagement and success. This is a campus based position.
Required Education: Master's Degree
Discipline/Degree Area: Health or Wellbeing related field.
Required Specialized Training/Certifications:
Required Minimum Work Experience: Five years of experience in a health or wellbeing-related profession.
Three years of management/supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with internal stakeholders
as well as external constituents.
Solid written communication and public speaking skills.
Effective planning and organizational skills.
Demonstrated experience with data benchmarking, evaluation and assessment.
Experience leading systems-level change and continuous improvement efforts.
Experience designing and implementing new programs and services.
Demonstrated group facilitation and curriculum/program design experience.
Knowledge of best practices in behavioral intervention, health promotions, and/or counseling in an educational setting.
Experience in budget management.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Terminal degree in health or wellbeing-related field.
Previous experience working in a university setting.
Previous experience with grant-writing and administration.
Previous experience with community outreach initiatives.
