Position Title: Executive Administrative Assistant

Department:  Counseling & Consultation Services

Term of Assignment: Continuing

Term End Date, If Applicable:             

FLSA Status:   Non-Exempt = overtime eligible

Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Salary: Hourly rate: $18.00

Travel: No travel

Brief Statement of Duties

Brief Statement of Duties: Responsible for providing administrative and faculty support and guidance to ensure the effective functioning of the Counseling and Consultation Services department to include office administration, fiscal responsibility, inventory control, record maintenance, website maintenance, event organization and supervision of student staff. Responsible for managing the department scheduling and data reporting software system. Train department faculty and assist as needed. Additionally, provides administrative support to the Associate Dean overseeing the Criminal Justice, Social Work and Counseling and Consultation Services departments, including assistance with calendar and meeting coordination, preparation and formatting of school-level reports and correspondence, logistical coordination of school-wide meetings and events across constituent departments, and maintenance of school-level records and shared files.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: High School Graduation or Equivalent

Required Minimum Work Experience:  Five years' progressive office work experience.

Additional Desirable Qualifications: 

Telehealth, Michigan State Mental Health Code Act 258 of 1974. 330.1748 Confidentiality training.
Supervisory experience.
Financial management/accounting experience.
Database experience.
Ability to identify IT system issues and work with vendors and/or support staff to resolve.
Work experience in a mental health practice or emergency dispatch organization.
University-setting work experience.

Philosophy/Assistant Professor/Three Year Term

Philosophy
Brief Statement of Duties: The course load will be 12 credits per semester, with multiple preps each term. The teaching responsibilities will include various applied ethics courses (computer, legal, medical) as well as a course in social and political philosophy. There will also be additional service responsibilities in support of the department, college, and university. The appointment will require having an active research agenda. This is a campus-based position. This position is currently not available for sponsorship.
