Position Title: Principal Account Clerk

Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional evening and weekend work required.
Salary: $15.85
Travel: No travel
Brief Statement of Duties: Manage the purchase requisitions, vendor payments (assigns purchase order number/approves for payment), and act as the department director's designee for up to fourteen dining units within the universities' on-line payment system. Responsible for employee purchasing card reconciliation, preparing and dissemination of journal entries, monitoring of all office supplies, budget monitoring, encumbrance monitoring, scheduling meetings for Dining Services, and accuracy of royalty payment records for license concepts. Work with on line payroll system when confirming hours worked in the Auxiliary Services Department. Input missing hours worked for student employees and full time employees in this same area.

Required Minimum Work Experience: Three years of office work with primary duties in accounting, e.g., ability to effectively utilize software applications, ability to efficiently perform complex computerized tasks, prior financial management.

Knowledge
Knowledge of file and records management and other office procedures.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
General knowledge of office equipment and basic troubleshooting knowledge.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge of high-volume dining services operations.
Strong knowledge of billing and invoice software.
