Position Title: Supervisor-Building Services

Department:  Plant Operations

Term of Assignment: Continuing

Term End Date, If Applicable:             

FLSA Status:   Exempt = not eligible for overtime

Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, 5:00am - 1:30pm with occasional evening and weekend work required.

Salary: Targeted Salary Range: $51,000-$53,400

Travel: Less than 10%

Brief Statement of Duties

Brief Statement of Duties: Responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising the custodial and service activities in the department. Perform administrative duties such as budget management, maintain all ordering of supplies and equipment, coordinate and supervise set-ups for special events and work closely with other supervisors and personnel in setting up for routine events and special employee needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Associate's Degree

Discipline/Degree Area: 

Required Specialized Training/Certifications: 

Required Minimum Work Experience:  Three years of experience in general and/or custodial building maintenance.
Successful experience in formal or informal leadership or supervisory roles.
Possess or able to obtain a valid motor vehicle operator's license within the first three months of employment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: 
Knowledge:
Administration and personnel management including training and supervision.
Building system components and operations.
Relevant codes and regulations.
Working knowledge of computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet, web-based programs).

Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively deal with a broad variety of people and prepare quality correspondence, reports, and other written materials.
Excellent critical thinking skills, good judgment - able to effectively analyze situations and solve problems.
Effective interpersonal skills - able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

Additional Desirable Qualifications: 
Bachelor's Degree.
Coursework in personnel management.
Administrative work experience in the management of a large scale housekeeping operation.
Training or experience in customer service.
